La Orquidea Resort is a popular place for long term guests – especially during the winter months and especially those from the colder, more northerly parts of the world.
Every winter, we welcome back many familiar faces from Britain, Scandinavia and many other parts of the world, looking to spend the winter in the Spanish sunshine (plenty of golfers, too).
Our long term winter rental rates are heavily reduced and, surely you’ll agree, are some of the best on the coast.

These discounted rates, however, do not include the full services offered to the short-term, summer guests – principally, house-keeping. House-keeping includes apartment cleaning and laundry of towels and bed linen.
We consider our long-term guests to be ‘living’ here, even if only for a month, and as the apartments all have adequate cleaning equipment and washing machines, long-term guests are considered capable of their own house-keeping. That said, we are more than happy to offer house-keeping services to all our long-term guests. These are payable services and prices are details below.
For all long-term guests (those staying for a minimum of one month, paying the reduced, monthly rates), there is a one-off ‘Checkout Clean’ charge. We know the majority of people will leave the apartments very clean and tidy, but our insistence on welcoming guests to a clean apartments means our house-keeping team will carry out a “Deep Clean” every time a guest leaves.
Bed Linen and Towels
As with all guests, long-term guests are provided with two bath towels, two hand towels and one floor towel, per bathroom. Extra sets of towels (one bath towel and one hand towel) can be organised with Reception, for a small fee.
Bed linen provided consists of two sets (mattress cover, under sheet, top sheet) per bed.
Cleaning
Extra apartment cleaning is charged to all guests at €10 per hour.
Light Clean / Mid-Week Clean
Sweeping and mopping floors, clean bathrooms, wipe down surfaces, empty bins. (Approx. 2 hours.)
Deep Clean / Checkout Clean
All of the above but also involves moving furniture, cleaning out fridge, oven, cupboards. (Approx. 3 hours.)
