Well positioned on the Costa del Sol, between Marbella and Fuengirola, the town of Calahonda is part of the municipality of Mijas. A typical relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere has made this area popular for visitors and holiday makers heading to Spain each year.
With the convenience of being roughly half an hour by car from Malaga airport, Calahonda has one of the longest stretch of Beaches in the Mijas Costa. The beautiful Weather and sun drenched sands are the perfect place for sunbathing, scuba diving and swimming. There are plenty of beach Bar / Restaurants along this stretch if you wish to cool down with a cola or a an ice cold glass of beer.
Everyday needs are well catered for in the El Zoco shopping centre, with many shops, supermarkets and Bar / Restaurants. There are Internet cafe’s, pharmacies, and medical centres. There are also local clubs to ensure that the night life does go on till the early hours of the morning.
